Job Description

Job purpose of Head Cook is to plan, prepare and execute food & beverage requirements for guests and events the business engages in. Oversees all culinary and kitchen operations ensuring all procedures, guidelines and functions are done accordingly including the area of its cleanliness, maintenance, team members and administrative duties that the position may cover.

The Head Cook differs from the Line Cook in the additional responsibilities for meal planning, the ordering of food and supplies from vendors/ suppliers, the maintenance of pertinent records and other administrative duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • All around responsible for kitchen issues
  • Supervising kitchen staff with their daily routine, positioning and scheduling
  • Responsible in all paper/computer works such as daily monitoring sheet of stock and general store items, and others
  • Handling ordering of stock and general store supplies.
  • Maintaining good condition of all machine and equipment inside the kitchen.
  • Responsible in maintaining good quality of food served to customers.
  • Checking food items displayed in the counter.
  • Monitoring stocks level.
  • Handling customer complaints.
  • Helping in keeping the kitchen area clean at all times.
  • Creation and development of new menu items.
  • Meal planning and preparation of menu for B2B clients.
  • Education and Experience

  • College Graduate, Culinary arts degree is preferred.
  • 3years experience working in a kitchen as a supervisor level.
  • Certification in HACCP/Servsafe or any food handler safety and sanitation workshops is a plus.
  • Must have experience in Korean Cuisine
